Athletics day 2024 Recap

On Wednesday 24th of October we had our athletics day at the junior campsite.

Our first event was High jump there was a competitive side and non competitive side I tried the first jump on the competitive side but sadly didn’t make it so I went to non competitive which was pretty easy.

Our next event was shot put I didn’t really try because shot put isn’t really my thing but somehow I got 5th.

We had sprints as our 3rd event and I was able to get in the finals for 80 m and 100 m race but didn’t qualify for zones.

After the 3 events we had in the morning we had our morning tea break.

Our 4th event was discs just like shot put I didn’t try because it ´s not really my event.

Our 5th event of the day was long jump my favourite. I was able to jump 3.32 m making me come 1st place but still didn’t qualify for zones.

Our last event was long distance I didn’t try this year because I didn’t wanna get into zones for it because of what happened last year at zones.

In the afternoon we had class relays, house colour relays and prefects versus the teachers relays. For the class relays our class came 2nd and for house colour relays red house came 1st(my house) then for the last relays the prefects won.

It was a very fun day and I enjoyed it.
